Sydney District Convention starts tomorrow!
by ozziepost inyep, the downunder mob aren't used to having a dc during winter, but this year the sydney dc is kicking off in mid-winter.
it'll make it easier for the families of high school students who normally have to balance their exams with attending the dc.
and of course, it'll mean that families don't have to forgo their summer holidays to attend a dc in december!!.

OF COURSE I DID ! WE all did and they still do. For a religion that keeps talking about not judgeing anyone they do more judgeing then anyone else. Those who are are doing well "spiritually" are in a higher group who others look up to, they're the pioneers, those with a good report, those who give lots of answers during the meetings etc... There are those who come from a well-to-do family. Elders families etc... they are looked up to. There are those who are not doing so well, their report is low, or they aren't related to elders or C/O's, these ones are always looked down on. I didn't start to treat everyone like equal humans untill I woke up to the WTS cult.

few people really starve to death unless they are in third world countries, and in those places they have little time to think about being a JW.
Many JW's lead sad and miserable lives, they deprived themselves of good jobs and therefore a better lifestyle, but because they are not starving to death they convience themselves that God has blessed them because they are in the truth.

Firstly. Is he batized? some who aren't batized still call themsleves JW's or mormons or whatever, if they like that religion.
IT WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME IF HE IS, BECAUSE ITS ALLWAYS UP THE THE BODY OF ELDERS, THEY REALLY ARE A LAW TO THEMSELVES. IF HE IS GOOD FREINDS WITH THE P.O. OR THE REST OF THE ELDERS, THEY'LL LET HIM GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING.

How Many Here Are "Technically" Still JWs???... Who's Not??
by minimus inwhat i mean is according to the society, there are a number of persons that are "technically" "inactive" yet are viewed as jws still.
i'm sure that i'm viewed as a witness still because i am not df'd or disassociated.....what about you??

Well I still go to most meetings, I even answer up when there is a point I beleive in, and I even turn in a report to keep them off my back. But I haven't gone door to door for about 3 years. So I am still a JW . I'm on the outside looking in.

Were You Treated With Respect When Counseled By The Elders?
by minimus ini knew a certain few elders that really got off by "talking down" to the "flock".
many elders were pretty nice guys but a few could turn----just like that!
what was your experience with "those taking the lead", the "loving shepherds"???

I was allways OK with my elders until I got involved with a sister and then all the gossip and accusations started, we were so badly treated that i finally left and went to another Congo, my wife (we got married) told me "we can't move, its out of our territory" and I told her, I can go where i like to go. I am a Volunteer and I don't volunteer to go to that congo anymore. we have being gone for 3 years. We haven't looked back. I think people forget that we are volunteers and we didn't inlist in the army.
They say that the problems follow you because you have the problem, well they haven't followed us, in fact they stay right where they were.
You don't know how much love they really have untill you need it. But then again I probably have a Bad Attitude. hehehe

JW were told to get of those web sites. They should stay home and study, become a full time Pioneer etc..etc.. and then every thing else will work out. blah..blah.. And then if someone in the KH sees you talking to someone of another gender, the gossip starts and they blame you for it. And they wonder why the Bro's and Sis's have to use these web sites to meet.
